Hyundai owners in the Harrisburg area rely on the top-notch dependability of their preferred model. Despite the reliable performance of the Hyundai brand across all the fantastic model options, the constant peak running condition doesn’t happen on its own. Newville drivers must maintain a regular Hyundai maintenance schedule, ensuring all the proper areas of focus are attended to. The schedules are similar across the board for most Hyundai cars and SUVs, save for a couple of minor changes here and there. For your convenience, we’ve compiled the Hyundai maintenance schedule for three of the brand’s most popular models.
If you need immediate service, contact our technicians and they’ll get you in for your desired repairs. Otherwise, keep the following information handy so you don’t miss any pertinent service obligations.
To keep your Hyundai Elantra running at peak performance, it takes the right amount of attention to the Hyundai Elantra maintenance schedule. Different areas of the vehicle are serviced at different intervals, so it’s important not to skip any of these vital appointment times.
At 8,000-mile intervals, you’ll normally change the engine oil and filter, rotate your tires, inspect your air filter, add fuel additive, inspect the A/C compressor, test your battery, check and top off brake fluids, inspect disc brakes and pads, and inspect your brake lines and hoses.
At every 16,000-mile interval, you’ll repeat every task from your 8,000-mile service, with a few additional replacements and inspections. This time around, you’ll replace the climate control air filter. In addition, you’ll inspect the fuel filter, exhaust pipe and muffler, fuel lines and hoses, parking brake, suspension mounting bolts, vacuum hose, vapor hose, and the steering gear box, linkage and boots, along with both lower and upper arm ball joints.
At 24,000 miles, you’ll repeat all the 8,000-mile service tasks. However, you’ll add the task of replacing your air cleaner filter.
At the 48,000-mile mark, you’ll repeat your 8,000-mile service obligations, 24,000-mile tasks, and you’ll add the task of replacing your brake fluid.
At 96,000 miles, you’ll repeat all the corresponding tasks, and you’ll add one more service task: spark plug replacement.
At 112,000 miles, you’ll repeat the service tasks according to their correct intervals, but you’ll add coolant replacement onto your checklist.
It’s important that Newville drivers keep up with their Hyundai Sonata maintenance schedule. While tasks are similar to the Elantra, a few of the interval times are different.
At 8,000 miles, your Sonata requires an oil and filter change, tire rotation, air cleaner filter inspection, A/C compressor and refrigerant inspection, adding of fuel additive, checking of brake fluid, lines, hoses, and connections, disc brakes and pad inspection, checking of the steering gear rack and linkage, and inspection of your battery and brake fluid.
Repeat everything from 8,000 miles with the addition of climate control air filter replacement, parking brake inspection, and inspection of your vapor hoses and fuel tank.
At 24,000 miles, you’re repeating your 8,000-mile service tasks and adding air cleaner filter replacement to the task list.
At 40,000 miles, you’ll service the proper tasks accordingly and add spark plug replacement.
At 48,000 miles, you’re adding one additional replacement: flush and change your brake fluid.
At 120,000 miles, you’ll have one final task to add of changing your engine coolant before cycling back through again.
The Hyundai Santa Fe comes in a standard edition and a hybrid. Here, we’ll go over the standard Hyundai Santa Fe maintenance schedule.
Much like its counterparts above, the Santa Fe requires oil and filter replacement, tire rotation, addition of fuel additive, inspection of air cleaner filter, inspection of A/C compressor and refrigerant, a battery check, inspection of brake fluid, lines, and hoses, inspections of the brake pedal, disc brakes, and pads, and checking of the exhaust pipe and muffler, along with the steering gear box, linkage, and control arms.
At the 16,000-mile mark, you’re repeating the 8,000-mile tasks. However, you’ll add climate control filter replacement, vacuum hose inspection, a parking brake inspection, and if you have the AWD version, you’ll need to inspect the front differential oil.
At 32,000 miles, the only change is the replacement of the air control filter.
Every 48,000 miles you’ll replace your spark plugs and brake fluid.
At 60,000-mile intervals you’ll inspect your coolant system.
At the 120,00- mile mark, you’ll replace the coolant.
